About Us
The Molecular Genetics Laboratory is a member of the Division of Laboratory Genetics within the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at BC Children’s and BC Women’s Hospitals.
The hospital labs are accredited in Clinical Pathology by the Diagnostic Accreditation Program (DAP) of BC.
The Molecular Genetics Laboratory is certified by Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) (CLIA # 99D2000765).
Staff Molecular Geneticists are Fellows of the Canadian and/or American Colleges of Medical Genetics (CCMG and/or ACMG).
The Genetic Counsellor is certified by the Canadian Association of Genetic Counsellors (CAGC) and/or is a diplomat of the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC).
Laboratory technologists are Registered Technologists (RT) in clinical genetics, certified by the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS).
